Reporting round-up (Issue 93)

May 21, 2007

Briefing takes a look at the latest reports, and what companies in different fields are focusing on when they present their approach to corporate social responsibility.

Reporting climate change

There is a lot more companies can do to improve the overall reporting of climate change according to research by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in partnership with FTSE4Good.

Climate Change: UK Corporate Reporting – An Analysis of Disclosure in UK Corporate Reports found that stakeholders are increasingly interested in how businesses are responding to the threats and opportunities of climate change. It considered how firms approach governance, policy and product impact issues with regard to climate change as well as how disclosures are communicated and assured. Stakeholders are also interested in the kind of targets companies are setting for the coming years.
